This year's ComicPalooza just ended and the attendees there had the scoop on the announcement for our lastest addition to the Battlestar Galactica Anniversary Celebration aka "Emissaries: Galacticon 3", to be held May 23-26, 2013. Next to the Admiral, the XO now also joins our guestlist! We're proud to announce that Michael Hogan will be appearing on "Emissaries: Galacticon 3".
Michaal Hogan is best known to Battlestar Galactica fans as Col. Saul Tigh -- the gruff, unlikable, often drunk XO ("If the crew doesn't hate the XO, then he's not doing his job") who doesn't shy away from a barfight with Starbuck, the tortured leader of the Resistance on New Caprica, and one of the Final Five Cylons.
One of Canada's most respected actors, Michael Hogan is the patriarch of a fledgling dynasty: His wife, Susan Hogan, has starred in dozens of films since the '70s, including The Brood, Narrow Margin and Disturbing Behavior, while their son, Gabriel Hogan, has worked in film and TV since his teens and currently stars in the ESPN ensemble drama Playmakers.
Michael and Susan Hogan were both recurring characters (as a married couple) on The L Word, and have worked alongside one another on several shows, including recent Syfy Original Series Warehouse 13.
More recently Michael Hogan starred as Doc Hossa on Arctic Air (alongside Battlestar Galactica colleague Kandyse McClure). Arctic Air is a one-hour adventure series set in the booming Arctic, about a maverick airline and the unconventional family who runs it.
The Hogans live on an island with son Charlie, a couple of dogs, cats, bikes, skis, and a few kayaks.
