Though the convention is still 14 months out, we want to give fans worldwide the opportunity to save up for this great event. Therefore we're already announcing yet another big guest for the "Emissaries: Galacticon III" event: Luciana Carro!

Luciana's character, Capt. Louanne "Kat" Katraine (aka Sasha) started in season one of the Battlestar Galactica series as a candidate pilot ("nugget") for Viper training under the command of Lt. Kara "Starbuck" Thrace. She is headstrong, arrogant and assertive, which are traits she shares with Starbuck, and the two clash frequently. At the same time, Katraine is loyal to her friends and always tries to protect the pilots around and under her from dangers or perceived injustices.

Katraine dies after receiving cumulatively fatal radiation exposure while escorting civilian ships through a star cluster to a planet with a food source (in the season 3 episode "The Passage".)

Luciana also stars in the Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica as Priyah Magnus, the Public Relations Officer for Graystone Industries. Magnus convinces Daniel Graystone to appear on the popular late night talk show Backtalk wih Baxter Sarno as means of quelling public outcry over his daughter's work as an STO terrorist.

Currently Luciana is filming season two of Steven Spielberg's TV series Falling Skies. She's one of the new recurring characters named Crazy Lee. Season two will air in June 2012.

Over the last couple of years Luciana attended conventions in both North America and Europe, giving her fans the opportunity to meet a warm-hearted, charming, ambitious and down-to-earth woman. Being a very sociable woman, Luciana soon became a fan favorite. She is very excited about attending the Galaction 3 event and hopes that many fans will come out to see her and her Battlestar Galactica colleagues.
